India'Hindu Rashtra Sansad' demands deletion of words 'secular' & 'socialist' from Constitution

‘Hindu Rashtra Sansad’ organized as part of the 10th Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan in Goa demanded to remove the ‘secular’ and ‘socialist’ words from the Constitution.

Hindu Rashtra Sansad’ (Parliament) organized as part of the 10th Akhil Bharatiya Hindu Rashtra Adhiveshan being held in Goa on Wednesday demanded that the words ‘secular’ and ‘socialist’ should be deleted from the Constitution.

‘If the western constitutions are being drafted on the basis of the Bible in Christian-majority countries and on the basis of Quran-Hadith in Islamic countries, then why is it secular while drafting the Indian Constitution ?,’ the ‘Sansad’ questioned.

It said the exact definition of ‘Sect’ and ‘Religion’ should be clarified in the Indian Constitution.

‘In 1976, Mrs. Indira Gandhi forcefully made the 42nd Amendment to the Constitution and forcefully inserted the words ‘Secular’ and ‘Socialist’ into the Constitution. As this act is unconstitutional, the words ‘Secular’ and ‘Socialist’ should be removed from the Constitution’,’ it said.

The ‘Sansad’

The ‘Sansad’ said it should be ensured by the Election Commission whether the promises made by the political parties in their manifestos during the election period are being fulfilled or not, by giving these manifestos the status of statutory documents.

At the same time, it was decided that the performance of each MP should be evaluated by the citizens of his constituency every year.

The Sansad also demanded that cases under Sedition Act should be registered against those who have issued fake Voter Identity Cards and Aadhar Cards to infiltrators like Rohingya or Bangladeshis.

Anti-Conversion Act

‘Anti-Conversion Act should be legislated in the Indian Parliament, evidence should be sought before the Women’s Commission from the Hindu girls who marry Muslims by performing ‘Nikah’ that they are not being forcibly converted or physically exploited, and efforts should be made to repeal the Places of Worship Act of 1991,’ Gurukul Education Board’ should be established on the lines of the ‘Madrasa Board’ and it should be ensured that the head of education department in the Gurukuls was proficient in Vedas, Sanskrit language,’ the ‘Sansad’ demanded.

Advocate Umesh Sharma, Advocate of the Supreme Court, was ‘appointed’ as the Speaker of the Sansad, and Ramesh Shinde, National Spokesperson of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, and Chetan Rajhans, National Spokesperson of Sanatan Sanstha oversaw the work as Deputy Speakers.

Ashok Gehlot said the last 8 years will be seen as a dark chapter of democracy

Meanwhile, Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot on Wednesday said the last eight years will be seen as a ‘dark chapter’ in the history of independent India, and urged Prime Minister Narendra Modi to make an appeal for peace amid rising communal tension.

On Wednesday, restrictions in Central Delhi continued with several roads being barricaded. All entries to Congress headquarters at Akbar Road remained under heavy police presence and only selected people were allowed entry.

“Last eight years will be called a ‘dark chapter’ of Indian democracy. There is tension in every lane. We are seeing people raising slogans, whether Hindu or Muslim,” Gehlot said at a press conference.

“Opposition parties have demanded that the PM should appeal for peace in the country. 13 parties have made this demand. Yesterday I requested again, people are scared, there is communal tension everywhere. Why is he hesitating?” he said.

Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel said they were not even allowed to bring their staff to the Congress office on Wednesday. Such a situation has not arisen before.

“BJP’s nationalism ‘Hindu Rashtra Sansad’ is an ‘imported nationalism’ which says crush those who express dissent. You can see how the Center is misusing central agencies,” Baghel said.

Party General Secretary Mukul Wasnik mention how the Chhattisgarh CM, leader of Congress in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury, he and others were stopped on their way to meet detained party leaders in the Badarpur area of Delhi.

“We will not break the law, but if you deny our constitutional right we will continue our Gandhian protest,” he said.
