An hour after the news about Musharraf’s death created confusion on social media, the family confirmed he was seriously ill.

The family of former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf on Friday issued a clarification and said the former president is not on a ventilator and has been hospitalized for the last 3 weeks due to a complication of his ailment (Amyloidosis).

Sharing details, his family in the message said he is going through a difficult stage where recovery is not possible and organs are malfunctioning. As of now, his family has not confirmed his death news.

“Pervez Musharraf is not on the ventilator. Has been hospitalized for the last 3 weeks due to a complication of his ailment (Amyloidosis). Going through a difficult stage where recovery is not possible and organs are malfunctioning. Pray for ease in his daily living,” the family said in a message on Twitter.
