Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant on Friday said seven schools in the city have received a bomb threat through e-mail.
While the seven Bengaluru schools get a bomb threat via e-mail, police launch searches and the city is on high alert.
“Four schools on the outskirts of Bengaluru have received a bomb threat through email, our local police are checking about it,” Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant said.
The anonymous threat sent at 11:09 read, “A very powerful bomb has been planted in your school. Attention, this is not a joke. Call the police immediately. Hundreds of lives may suffer, including yours. Do not delay. Everything is in your hands.”
The schools include Opalan International School, Mahadevapura, Delhi Public School, Varthur, New Academy School, St Vincent Paul School, Hennur, and Indian Public School, Govindpura.
“Based on the email, our teams are checking there at the spot…when more information comes, it will be shared with you (media),” the Commissioner said.

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner Kamal Pant on Friday said seven schools in the city have received a bomb threat through e-mail and he said that “investigations are in full swing to understand who is behind this email. We will get to the bottom of things.”

In January, there was a bomb hoax and after the police launched the search, there is a suggestion that it might also be a hoax.
