AIMIM is preparing for elections in UP, Bengal, eyes at smaller parties

IndiaAIMIM is preparing for elections in UP, Bengal, eyes at smaller parties

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi said his caravan would go ahead amid various political allegations. State President of Peace Party Dr. Mannan also joined AIMIM

Lucknow: After a considerably successful political struggle in Maharashtra and Bihar, All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Wednesday held a meeting in a hotel in Lucknow to find a political ground in Uttar Pradesh. Owaisi met with the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) chief and former minister in the BJP government Om Prakash Rajbhar and hinted to contest elections in alliance with smaller parties in UP.

Talking to reporters after meeting with Rajbhar at a hotel in Lucknow on Wednesday, Owaisi said, “We are both here in front of you. We are together and preparing for the next assembly election under the leadership of Rajbhar ji.”

He said, “this is our caravan that will proceed amid various political allegations”. On this occasion, State President of Peace Party, Dr. Mannan also joined the AIMIM and got party membership.

Owaisi also tweeted, “I want to say to the people of Uttar Pradesh that I have not come here to be a leader, my only aim is to get your rights.”

West Bengal Chief Minister criticized

During the press conference, he reprimanded West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, saying, “We have not yet started preparations for the 2021 election in West Bengal, yet the ruling party TMC is scared of us. Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has launched a campaign of baseless allegations.”

Making fun of Ms. Mamta Banerjee, he said, “We never compromised with the BJP, but Mamata Banerjee was an ally in the BJP government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Minorities did not come to her mind when the riots broke out in Gujarat. “To what extent the minorities should expect from the BJP that has been instrumental in forming the BJP government.”

Accusing TMC of paving the way for BJP in West Bengal, Mr. Owaisi said that TMC is paving the way for BJP in West Bengal. This was seen in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections when the BJP won as many as 17 seats.

Mr. Owaisi termed the allegations leveled by Mamata Banerjee as baseless and said, “No one can buy Asaduddin Owaisi with money. Mamta should worry about her own home. Many of their leaders are joining the BJP. ”

BJP said, “Divisive forces are coming on one platform.”

On the other hand, criticizing the new political initiative taking place in the state, BJP Minister Mohsin Raza said that the people who want to divide the country are coming together on one platform. Earlier, the Aam Aadmi Party had talked about contesting elections in UP.

Mohsin Raza said that they should all come to the same platform. We do not care about this at all. He said that, with their coming together, it became clear that the people who are about to divide India are coming on the same platform.

Significantly, the political parties have started their preparations in view of the UP Assembly elections of 2022. The Aam Aadmi Party has also announced to contest the UP Assembly elections.

Samajwadi Party chief Shivpal Singh Yadav has already indicated that he is trying to form alliances with small and like-minded parties for the next elections.
