Agriculture Minister says that the aim of the government is to improve the economic condition of farmers, to benefit the agricultural sector, and to attract new generations to agriculture.

New Delhi: The government will soon create a data bank of farmers to give information about flood warnings, satellite imagery, land revenue records, etc. at home.

Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar said on Saturday that the central government is doing its best to make farmers and the agriculture sector prosperous. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, important steps have been taken in this direction, the fruits of which have started reaching the farmers.

The government is also benefiting farmers through modern technology. Mr. Tomar said this while inaugurating the tenth edition of the three-day Knowledge Exchange Summit organized by Elites Technomedia.

He said that the aim of the government is to improve the economic condition of the farmers, benefit the agricultural sector, and attract a new generation to agriculture.

In the meeting related to the handover of agricultural reforms in the country, the Agriculture Minister said that in recent times, some new dimensions have been added in agriculture and allied sectors.

Mr. Tomar said, ‘the Prime Minister has given priority to this sector. The development of poor farmers in villages along with states is the main objective. Efforts are being made to achieve this goal. Our villages and agricultural areas have been the strengths of this country for years, which the government is focusing on strengthening.
