Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said that Article 370 was a major obstacle in the development of Jammu and Kashmir and now no one can stop the development of the Union Territory. He said, ‘No power in the world can restore Article 370.’
Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national spokesperson Syed Shahnawaz Hussain said here on Friday that the matter related to the repeal of Article 370 is not sub judice (under consideration in the Supreme Court) and no other power in the world can restore it.
Mr. Shahnawaz Hussain has come to the Kashmir Valley to campaign for the party’s candidates in the upcoming District Development Council elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing the media persons in the summer capital, he said no power in the world can restore Article 370.
Responding to a question the National Spokesperson said, ‘The matter of repeal of Article 370 is not Sub judice (under consideration of the Court). If someone approaches the court even against my press conference, will it be banned? Article 370 will not be reinstated… No power in the world can restore it. I would particularly like to tell the youth that Article 370 has now been abolished in toto and cannot be restored.’
He said that Article 370 was a major obstacle in the development of Jammu and Kashmir and now no one can stop the development of the Union Territory. The senior BJP leader said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir have full faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his idea of ‘inclusive growth’ (Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas).
He attacked the People’s Alliance for the secret declaration and said that other parties in the state work based on nepotism and to promote their own ‘dynastic families’. The BJP represents the common people of Jammu and Kashmir and works for the poor.
He alleged that the Congress is scared of the BJP. The Congress party is still behind the scenes in an alliance with the PAGD. Congress leaders are having sleepless nights due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. Mr. Shah revealed that Congress was part of the Guptakar gang and has distanced itself from the alliance.
