Patna: In the final phase of polling for 78 assembly constituencies in Bihar, 54.06 percent of people voted till 5:00 PM, while voting in four assembly constituencies ended at 4:00 PM.
According to the state election office, 54.06 percent of the people have exercised their franchise till 5:00 PM in the third phase elections. The voting was going on peacefully by the time of writing this report.
During this time, Kishanganj has the highest number of 59.99 percent voters while in Vaishali the lowest is 49.97 percent. Similarly, 52.08 percent polling has been recorded by that time in the by-election for the Valmikinagar Lok Sabha seat.
At the same time, polling ended at 4:00 PM in Valmikinagar and Ramnagar (reserved) in West Champaran district and Simri Bakhtiarpur and Mahishi assembly constituencies in Saharsa district. Voting ended at 49.80 percent in Valmikinagar assembly constituency and 46 percent in Ramnagar, 56.95 percent in Simri Bakhtiarpur, and 57.83 percent in Mahishi.
Fifteen districts with the last phase voting 52.08 percent in West Champaran, 55.31 in East Champaran, 52.27 in Sitamarhi, 54.84 in Madhubani, 57.90 in Supaul, 50.43 in Araria, 59.99 in Kishanganj, 55.50 in Purnia, 52.22 in Katihar, 54.03 in Madhepura, Saharsa polled 55.73, Darbhanga 53.44, Muzaffarpur 54.54, Vaishali 49.97 and Samastipur 52.76 percent were recorded.
