IndiaBharat Jodo Yatra is taking form of revolutionary movement of unity

Bharat Jodo Yatra is taking the form of a revolutionary movement and the people’s response is far beyond the party’s expectations.

After a day’s halt, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s ‘Bharat Jodo Yatra‘ resumed from Perambra Junction here on Saturday. The 17th day of the Yatra, which commenced with the involvement of lakhs of people, will halt at Amballur Junction at 10 am. It will resume from Talore Bypass Junction at 5 pm to reach the South Gate of Thrissur Vadakkumnathan Temple at 7 pm. Over 19 days in the state, the Yatra will cover seven districts’ over 450 km, before it commences in Karnataka on October 1.

The Bharat Jodo Yatra is a five-month, over 3,500 km-long foot march from Kanyakumari to Srinagar. It is part of the party’s national mass outreach program aimed at highlighting social polarisation, economic inequalities, and political centralization.

Bharat Jodo Yatra is set to cover a distance of 3,570 km in 150 days before concluding in Jammu and Kashmir

Congress President Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra would participate in the Karnataka leg of the “Bharat Jodo Yatra” led by Rahul Gandhi which will be entering the state on September 30.

Rahul Gandhi was stationed at a container camp in Kerala’s Chalakudy on the Bharat Jodo Yatra rest day on Friday.

People’s response to the Bharat Jodo Yatra is far beyond the party’s expectations says Digvijaya Singh from the Congress.

Someone who went to the rally wrote this, “Yesterday I was part of History! I took part in an incredibly exhilarating mass movement #BharatJodoYatra. I’ve never ever been to a political rally. The demographics of the crowd were amazing: housewives, kids, and physically challenged.. Surreal experience. And I met @RahulGandhi

The love that people have for Rahul is incredible. Plus the hope the ordinary folks have in our Nation under a secular all-inclusive government. The fellowship, and camaraderie of total strangers for a common cause. We can never compare it to the Freedom struggle but it comes close!

Age is just a number! The enthusiasm of the elders is infectious! #BharatJodoYatra

Even non-Keralite workers were enthusiastic about #BharatJodoYatra! They were doing some piling work. Dropped everything & came to see #RahulGandhi”

Here are some visuals and videos from the Yatra which is taking on the form of an epic revolutionary movement of unity in diversity, the heart of India

Distinguished professor Ashok Swain wrote, “A leader is one who unites, not divides!

Jairam Ramesh writes, “After a day of rest, the 17th day of the #BharatJodoYatra began at around 6:35 am today from Perambra Junction, Thrissur district. The Yatris will walk 12 kms this morning. You can catch it all live on bharatjodoyatra.in and on all our social media platforms.

Supriya Bhardwaj writes, “#BharatJodoYatra resumes in Thrissur and Congress leaders from Kerala walk towards Thrissur city from Angamaly

Gaurav Pandhi from Congress writes, “Early in the morning and people line up with their families on both sides of the road in support of #BharatJodoYatra. This happens on every meter of every kilometer of the Yatra.”

Will Rahul Gandhi become the Congress President? He most probably will not as he has not even contested for the post, but he is definitely a revolutionary leader in the spirit of Mahatma Gandhi who walks with his people on dusty roads to send a strong message to the country.  Something big is definitely going to come out of the Bharat Jodo Yatra because it’s not just a walk, it’s a revolution. The people’s response is far beyond the Congress party’s expectations.  While India united to fight against the British Raj, today, India is uniting again to fight and overthrow communal religious politics that will eventually destroy a nation with its venom. India will rise again with a new vision after Bharat Jodo Yatra because this religious hatred cannot go on.
