US-Ukrainian lawmaker says Biden ‘financing’ Putin’s war by buying Russian oil

EuropeUS-Ukrainian lawmaker says Biden 'financing' Putin's war by buying Russian oil

Ukrainian-born lawmaker Indiana Republican congresswoman says President Joe Biden is ‘financing’ Putin’s war by buying Russian oil.

During the rage of the Russian-Ukrainian War, Repuplicans in America demand Biden do much more to stop the war,  cut off Vladimir Putin’s oil and call it more than a war, it is genocide. Immigrant Ukrainian-born lawmaker Victoria Spartz said that her grandmother, who is 95 was in her village back in Ukraine and her daughter said that the Russians entered with vacuum bombs and killed nearly everyone in the village!  She asserted strongly, that if Putin is not stopped there, he is not going to stop.

The American Republicans are upset with the apparent inaction of Joe Biden and also blame Biden’s policies that pushed Europe to become dependant on Russia for oil and gas, as well as American dependancy on Russia, receiving 167,000 barrels of oil a day from Russia.

The anchor told Victoria Spartz that they were told that Putin had sent in 400 merceneries with the goal of killing the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.  However, reports came in that Russian intellence might have tipped off Zelenskyy which might have saved his life. The anchor asked Victoria if she thought there may be Russians who may stand up against Vladimir Putin not wanting to be part of a modern day mass slaughter.

Victoria said that Putin is known to use his police force to suppress the Russian people and everyone else.  Victoria pointed out that the U.S.S.R., and now the Russian Federation, always had “bandits”, but that Putin outdid that by reportedly installing Chechen “mafia” individuals in offices near him in the Kremlin, who would threaten Russians.

She said Putin continues to downplay the Ukrainian people, but that the West should have been more proactive than reactive in dealing with the hardened former Soviet intelligence officer.

“We need to take people like that seriously. But now we need to stop this bloodshed because a lot of people are going to be killed and we need to exercise some leadership,” she concluded.

She aid earlier Wednesday that Putin is a “crazy man” committing a “genocide” on Ukrainians.

“Unfortunately, we have too many people that … hopefully they change their mind that the biggest threat is the climate change right now because we have much bigger problems right now and we have lack of common sense,” she said.

“We have a lack of common sense in Europe, but we also have lack of common sense in our country, and it’s created instability, bloodshed and a lot of problems. So we need to be smarter. And I think, you know, this president needs to understand if we want to tip the scale and make President Putin listen to us, the most effective way to do it is stop financing his war.”

In terms of the invasion itself, Spartz said the U.S.S.R., and now the Russian Federation, always had “bandits”, but that Putin upped the ante by reportedly installing Chechen “mafia” individuals in offices near him in the Kremlin, who she said would threaten Russians.

“And I think a lot of people, even in his police force do not like that because these people are lawless, and he’s using them to suppress Russian people and everyone else,” she said. “So I wouldn’t be surprised if there is some dissatisfaction in the police force in this war on his people.”

She said Putin’s Kremlin previously “installed a president who was a former criminal to run [Ukraine] in a criminal way – and Ukrainians said no enough is enough. They took him down.”

She stressed that the West should have been more proactive than reactive in dealing with the hardened former Soviet intelligence officer.

“We need to take people like that seriously. But now we need to stop this bloodshed because a lot of people are going to be killed and we need to exercise some leadership,” she concluded.

On a Lighter Note

On a lighter note, Twitter is doing its round of gaffaws after American President Joe Biden made a big blunder when he mistakenly called the Ukrainian people “Iranian people” and the horrified look that crossed Vice President Kamala Harris’ face as she desperately mouthed “Ukrainian’ is classic!
