Tuesday night, a Muslim community was allegedly violently attacked by Delhi police at the behest of upper-caste Hindus.
The lady who shared the event on Twitter Dana Komberg tweeted, “On Tuesday night the Muslim community I’ve worked with for 8 years in northwest Delhi was attacked by the Delhi Police in military gear at the behest of local upper-caste Hindus (1/3)

Apparently, the Muslims were attacked by Delhi police under the direction of upper-caste Hindus. While the police charged in on the community in the dead of the night, unprovoked and without reason, not following any laws or procedures, beating up the women, they picked up Muslim men and took them away.
In fact, dozen were beaten with thick lathi sticks got severely wounded, including at least 3 pregnant women and children. Phones with recordings were smashed.
Dana Kornberg says, “This is an act of #HinduSupremacy that is terrifying like last year’s #DelhiRiot. They are in desperate need of legal and media support right now.”
Unfortunately, the event is not covered by any Media even though it was dreadfully frightening as around four police vans sped into the area in the night without any notice or warning and started to wildly beat the residents including the women, and spew out filthy obscenities, beating the people with thick lathis, not sparing even pregnant women, hitting them on their stomachs as one woman said.
The Muslim community in the area work mainly as factory workers, and they go to work and come home tired, and as one of the women said, “We don’t have time for any trouble or to fight with anyone.”
A Facebook post shares the incident as horrified Muslim women relay the incident and all are now feeling unsafe in their own homes, not protected even from the police whom citizens run to for security and assurance. If a nation’s police force work against the people playing against communities, that nation is in serious trouble and worse is, the Media did not even consider it important enough to report it.

Muslims were marked as targets for violence. In order to have their religion ascertained, Muslim males—who unlike Hindus are commonly circumcised—were at times forced to remove their lower garments before being brutalized with also lacerated genitals.
The properties destroyed were disproportionately Muslim-owned and included four mosques, which were set ablaze by rioters.[26] By the end of February, many Muslims had left these neighborhoods.
Even in areas of Delhi untouched by the violence, some Muslims had left for their ancestral villages, fearful for their personal safety in India’s capital.
The Delhi police were accused by the affected citizens, eyewitnesses, human rights organizations, and Muslim leaders around the world of falling short in protecting Muslims. Videos showed police acting in a coordinated manner against Muslims, on occasion purposefully helping Hindu gangs. Witnesses said some police officers joined the attacks on Muslims.
After the violence had abated in the thickly-settled mixed Hindu-Muslim neighborhoods of North East Delhi, some Hindu organizations continued to parade alleged Hindu victims of Muslim violence in an attempt to reshape the accounting of events and to further inflame hostility towards Muslims.
About 1,000 Muslims sought shelter in a relief camp on the fringes of Delhi. Gangs of Hindus appeared in several Muslim neighborhoods in the days preceding the Hindu festival of Holi, celebrated in 2020 on 9 March, to scare Muslims into abandoning their homes.
In the midst of prevailing anti-Muslim attitudes, senior lawyers in Delhi were not accepting cases on behalf of the riot victims.
Among Hindus and Muslims who continued to live in their neighborhoods, the violence created potentially long-living divisions. For at least two weeks after the rioting, they avoided each other during the day and at night blocked their lanes with barriers.
If the Government of India is going to sit pretty through this and the Media maintains their very selective sanctimonious silence, India is heading for very troubled waters ahead.
