Shockingly, a 16-year-old girl, Misbah Maqbool, who incidentally topped her 10th exams, died after she succumbed to a sudden cardiac arrest in Koil Village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday.
An official told a local news agency that the girl complained of chest pain at her home and was instantly rushed to a nearby hospital by her family members.
He said that at the hospital, the girl identified as Misbah Maqbool was pronounced dead on arrival.
She notably had secured 496 marks out of 500 in the recent 10th exam. (KNO).
The exact cause of her death is to be determined but increased stress levels appear to be the culprit. In the face of COVID, the uncertainty of life and the future looms ahead of the youth.
There has been a sudden escalation of heart attacks from the younger population of Kashmir, alarming everyone, especially after the abrogation of 370, there has been a recorded high rise of cardiac deaths which never happened before.
It is rare to see such young people dying of cardiac arrest, but a poor quality lifestyle of not being able to exercise due to the lockdowns due to abrogation of 370, and then COVID-19, stress, and depression have been the cause of sudden deaths in the young.
Due to the lockdowns, difficulty to visit hospitals for proper healthcare due to COVID amid economic crashes, and poor food quality, bodies are weakened leading to rising heart attacks.
Kashmir unlike other parts of the globe has suffered three years of lockdown and this has led to untold stress levels and depression!
