In Pratapgarh, a vehicle full of participants of the wedding procession (Baraat) collides with a truck. The collision was so horrific that the Bolero vehicle got badly damaged.
Pratapgarh: In Uttar Pradesh‘s Manikpur area of Pratapgarh, 14 passengers of a wedding procession (Baraat) in a luxury vehicle died after being hit by a truck. Police sources said on Friday that the incident occurred last night near Deshraj Inara village when a high-speed Bolero collided with a truck parked on the roadside.
14 people died in this accident. The casualties were all the people who were returning from the wedding ceremony in Sheikhpur village of Nawabganj area. Police say that the collision was so severe that the Bolero vehicle was badly damaged.
All the dead were trapped under the vehicle. The bodies were taken out with the help of a gas cutter. Sources said that 12 of those who died are residents of Jigrapur village in Kotwali while one is from Manikpur and one is from Hathigawan area.
Expressing deep grief over the accident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has expressed deep condolences to the bereaved families. The dead included Bablu (22), Dinesh Kumar (49), Pawan Kumar (10), Daya Ram (40), Aman Kumar (7), Ramasuman (40), Ansh (9), Gaurav Kumar (10), Naan Gaud ( 55), Sachin (12), Himanshu (12), Mithilesh Kumar (17), Abhimanyu (28) and Manikpur area resident Paras Nath (40).
