Northern Railway has permanently or partially canceled or changed the route of all trains passing through the state due to Punjab and due to farmers’ protests on agriculture laws.
Faridkot: Due to the protests of farmers’ unions in Punjab in protest against the new agriculture laws, since last October, the problems of common people have been increasing.
Railways and industries are suffering from heavy losses as the commercial activities of the state are also badly affected due to lack of railway services. Northern Railway has permanently or partially canceled or changed the route of all trains passing through the state due to Punjab and farmers’ protests.
According to railway sources, Delhi-Bhitanda Express-Bhitanda-Delhi Express from 20 to 21 November, New Delhi-Katra Express from 12 to 19 November, Katra-New Delhi Express from 13 to 20 November, Amritsar-Special 12 to Ajmer Express, and Amritsar Express Special have been canceled till 19 November.
On November 12, many mail and express trains were stopped. Sri Ganga Nagar Delhi Express Train via Bhattanda and Delhi, Sri Ganganagar Express on 12 November, Amritsar-Dubargarh Express on 13 November and Chandigarh on 12 November. Patli Putra Express, Reshi Cash – Badnaam Express Special Batna 12, 09806 via Adampur – Kota Express, Special train 12 and Katra, special train of Ambedkar Nagar Express will be canceled on 13 November.
The Ferozepur Dhanbad Express will start from Ambala and Ambala Ferozepur from November 12. Ambala to be partially canceled. The Amritsar Nanded Sachkhand Express will depart from New Delhi on November 12 and will be partially canceled between New Delhi-Amritsar-New Delhi and Amritsar.
Bandra Terminus Express will be partially canceled from Ambala on November 12 and partly between Ambala-Amritsar-Ambala. Many trains were also canceled yesterday and today. Railway sources said that it has been decided to cancel many trains apart from all these trains.
