Sidhu “waiting for action” against AAP workers who killed Congress worker

IndiaSidhu "waiting for action" against AAP workers who killed Congress worker

Violence against Congress workers from members of AAP and TMC has left Congress workers feeling uneasy and Sidhu spoke up.

Navjot Singh Sidhu of Congress, former President PPCC fiercely spoke up for him, and tweeted earlier, “Still awaiting action against the AAP workers who brutally killed Congress worker Iqbal in village Kasowana, Zira. Will be attending his antim ardaas on Wednesday.
We will fiercely rally behind every Congress worker, who is our backbone.

The Punjab Congress worker passes weeks after the brutal bloodied attack, and visuals shared on social media of the attack reveal the shocking brutality.  The Congress party seeks action against AAP workers.

The fateful event occurred after Iqbal Singh was grievously injured in the incident and was admitted to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College in Faridkot. He remained critical and he breathed his last on Tuesday. The accused had been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) in an FIR that was registered on March 13 on the basis of a complaint lodged by the deceased’s brother.

Former Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and some of his party colleagues demanded action against the culprits and alleged that AAP workers were behind the attack.
“Justice delayed is justice denied! Culprits (AAP Goons) should be booked and arrested immediately,” Sidhu said.

Stringent action should be taken against the culprits, said Manish Tewari of Congress, a lawyer, and politician.

Spurts of violence against Congress workers from TMC too are occurring. This is particularly disturbing after the Birbhum massacre which was a horrific political killing executed by the TMC on innocent families where women and children were also burned alive.  Tragically, they were beaten before being burnt alive.  All the people killed were Muslims which made Muslims doubt Mamata because the slaying was done by none other than the TMC as an extract of political revenge, a fight between two factions.

A concerned Congress worker tweeted, “Congress worker from Ward No. 4, Raiganj, West Bengal Sh. Kartik Rana has been brutally attacked by TMC.

Till when will we remain silent on these workers from Sardar Iqbal Singh in Punjab to Sh. Tapan Kandu and Sh. Kartik Rana in West Bengal?

It has been a harrowing time for Congress workers and they do need some respite and boost and increased support.
