Kolkata: 14 people were killed and 18 others injured when three vehicles collided due to fog near Dhupgari in West Bengal’s Jalpaiguri district.
According to police sources, at around 10 o’clock Tuesday night, a truck laden with bonders collided with a mini truck coming from the other direction near Dhupguri shortly thereafter. 14 people were killed and 18 others injured in the accident.
Police reached the spot after receiving information about the accident and started relief and rescue operations. The injured have been admitted to Dhupguri Hospital from where they have been shifted to Jalpaiguri Hospital.
