Nationwide protests if new farm laws are not withdrawn

She wrote on Twitter, “I am very much concerned about the farmers, their lives and livelihood. GOI must withdraw the anti-farmer bills. If they do not do so immediately we will agitate throughout the state and the country. From the very start, we have been strongly opposing these anti-farmer bills.”

Mamta’s tweet on completion of 14 years of Sangar movement

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee tweeted on the 14th anniversary of the Singur movement saying “14 years ago on 4 Dec 2006, I began my 26 day hunger strike in Kolkata demanding that agricultural land cannot be forcefully acquired. She said she fully supports the farmers’ movement in the country demanding the repeal of the strict agricultural laws of the Center. The bill was passed without consulting the farmers.
