Amid the peace talks between Taliban and Afghan leaders, violence continues in Afghanistan
Kabul: 30 Talibani terrorists, including sex Taliban commanders, were killed on Sunday and 17 others were injured in clashes with security personnel in Afghanistan’s eastern Laghman province.
201 Selab (Flood) Corps, the Eastern Command of the Afghan Army was quoted this information in a statement as saying issued on Sunday.
According to the Afghan army, the terrorists attacked the security personnel in Daulat Shah district of Laghman province on Saturday. In response, the security forces, besides retaliating, arrested the head of Taliban intelligence unit along with sex local Taliban commanders.
It is worth mentioning that peace talks between Afghan leaders and Taliban representatives in Qatar’s capital Doha have been going on since September, but in spite of this, the violence continues in the country.
