In Bihar, polling was held in 94 seats of 17 districts in the second phase today. In the first phase, voting was held on October 28 for 71 seats of 16 districts. In the final phase, the remaining 78 seats will be voted on November 7.
New Delhi / Patna: 44.51 percent of voters turned out of the house and exercised their franchise till 3 pm in the ongoing polling in the second phase of the Vidhan Sabha elections in Bihar amid tight security.
According to the state election office, polling in 94 assembly constituencies took place in the second phase from 7:00 AM and till 3:00 PM. 44.51 percent of voters have voted to be part of the ‘festival of democracy’.
In this task, 50.96 percent of the voters of Muzaffarpur have shown enthusiasm while the voters of Patna district have been slow and only 39.65 voters have voted till 3 pm.

Former Congress president Rahul Gandhi has appealed to the voters of Bihar to vote compulsorily to elect a new government of choice in the second phase of the assembly elections.
Mr. Gandhi tweeted on Tuesday morning and said ‘Today is the second phase of voting in some districts of Bihar. Do vote so that a new government of your choice is formed.’
He also informed about his program of the election campaign in Bihar and wrote, ‘Today I am coming to Bihar’s Kodh and Kishanganj to meet you all. Many issues such as rising unemployment, disaster on farmers, weak economy will be discussed.’
It is important to note that in Bihar, polling in 94 seats in 17 districts took place in the second phase today.
