The constituents of the Grand Alliance, the RJD, Congress, the Communist Party of India Marxist-Leninist (CPI-ML), the Communist Party of India (CPI), and the Marxist Communist Party (CPI-M) legislators held a meeting and elected Tejashwi Prasad Yadav as the GA leader
Patna: Tejashwi Prasad Yadav, the chief ministerial candidate of the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) -led Mahagathbandhan in Bihar, has been elected Thursday the leader of the grand alliance.
The constituents of the Grand Alliance, RJD, Congress, Communist Party of India, Marxist-Leninist (CPI-ML), Communist Party of India (CPI), and Marxist Communist Party of India (CPI) MLAs, held a meeting. The meeting took place at former Chief Minister Mrs. Rabri Devi’s government residence at 10 Circular Road.
In the meeting, all the 110 MLAs of the Grand Alliance elected Mr. Tejashwi Yadav as the Leader of Opposition and also elected the Leader of the Grand Alliance. Earlier, the newly elected RJD MLAs met and decided further strategy was also chalked out in the meeting.
Similarly, the newly-elected MLAs of the Congress also met at Sadaqat Ashram, the state headquarters of the party. Senior party leaders held consultations with the newly elected MLAs. During the meeting, the stigma of not being able to form a government due to low seats was evident on the faces of the leaders.
