Vidya Balan starrer murder-mystery ‘Neeyat’ to release on July 7

On Monday, Abundantia Entertainment and Prime Video announced the worldwide theatrical release date for their highly anticipated murder mystery film, “Neeyat”, starring Vidya Balan. Directed by Anu Menon, who previously directed Vidya in the 2020 hit film “Shakuntala Devi”, “Neeyat” is set to premiere in theaters worldwide on July 7th.

The film features an impressive ensemble cast including Ram Kapoor, Rahul Bose, Neeraj Kabi, Amrita Puri, Shahana Goswami, Niki Walia, Dipannita Sharma, Shashank Arora, Prajakta Koli, Danesh Razvi, Ishika Mehra, and Madhav Deval in significant roles. Anu Menon, Priya Venkataraman, Advaita Kala, and Girvani Dhyani co-wrote the film, while Kausar Munir provided the dialogues.

“Neeyat” is produced by Abundantia Entertainment’s Vikram Malhotra, with co-production by Prime Video. The movie tells the thrilling story of an unlikely detective (played by Vidya) investigating a series of mysterious murders at a billionaire’s party where everyone has something to hide.

This film marks Vidya Balan’s return to theaters after her successful run on digital platforms with three blockbuster films: “Shakuntala Devi” (2020), “Sherni” (2021), and “Jalsa” (2022). The makers have also unveiled a teaser poster that offers the audience a glimpse into the intriguing world of “Neeyat”
