We never realize how much the colors around us play a role in our lives, the rainbow colors in the sky tell us its promises in color therapy
There is something about a glistening rainbow in the sky after a storm and why does it cause such euphoria after glimpsing that glorious rainbow? Going back in time, the Bible tells us the story of Noah who after the greatest massive flood deluge looked up in the sky to witness a covenant between humans and God in the form of a rainbow glistening with its marvelous hue of colors. It’s all about color therapy! Colored light can balance “energy” in a human body.
There is something about the colors of a rainbow. Did you ever think you could use color to heal pain, depression, confusion, and chaos in your life? Color is an incredibly influential tool. Humans have used color since the beginning of time. Cavemen painted their caves to please the spirits and construct a festive atmosphere around them. Paintings splashed marvelous colors, and houses were painted in colors. According to Ayurveda, color balances the mental, spiritual, and physical doshas through several different methods.
Today we use color in our homes for all types of reasons including getting rid of bad energy from past events or attracting good energy from future events. Have you seen modern homes painting their walls with dark vivid colors? Not a good idea. A lot of dark intense colors release energies that can actually provoke the brain to deeper darker emotions of rage, anger, fear, loneliness, and a host of other negative emotions.
All colors are sprinkled across the creation, dark, light, vivid, and intense and we should enjoy all in their beauty, but it is very advisable to keep your home colors and office environment pastel rather than dark and moody intense colors
So some of the changes you can make in your colors can transform your mood swiftly. Is it that easy? Try the rainbow colors! If you feel sad, use a bright pink pillowcase and sleep on that! After a restful night, you will awake feeling happier and more positive to deal with anything. Try yellow, or mauve, soft red, gentle warm orange, light pastel blue, pastel green, and other such wonderful cooling colors.
Colors can also give healing qualities with their own wavelength, and stunningly, they possess their own unique vibration according to Ayurveda and can be used to heal your Ayurvedic body type or dosha.
According to the Ayurveda, humans are all ruled by three different energies, or doshas, known as vata, pitta, and kapha. These doshas are governed by the elements, of earth, water, air, ether, and fire. We’re all made up of a unique combination of these three forces. If you don’t know which dosha is most predominant for you, the Ayurvedic Body Type quiz is a fun and easy way to find out.
Colors when correctly used can balance the three doshas, and have healing effects because they can heal our imbalances. Every color has a regulating feature that is either absorbed or deflected. It is the power within our consciousness and subconscious mind that enables us to self-regulate. We are usually drawn to the colors we need the most
Chromotherapy influences brain activity through the hypothalamus, the organ that manages and regulates the endocrine gland, and it also affects the energetic points in the human body that are associated with the autonomic nervous system and the regulation of hormones.
Color is predominantly absorbed through the eyes and secondarily through the skin.
Color is also absorbed through the colors of food, spices, and other nourishment.
All said while you may use warm vibrant colors or pastel colors and appreciate them, it is ultimately the pastel colors that consistently surround you in your living conditions that bring up the most balanced atmosphere in your life because the colors of the rainbow have links of the greatest promises and potentials to unfold in your life. Thus, painting your home in dark intense colors is a no-no. Try the pastels.
