Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the world’s first Cheetah Rehabilitation Project with wild Cheetahs in Kuno Nationwide Park.
Cheetahs which have been introduced from Namibia are being brought to India, which is the world’s first inter-continental giant wild carnivore translocation mission. The discharge of untamed Cheetahs by the Prime Minister is a part of his efforts to revitalize and diversify India’s wildlife and its habitat.

Out of the eight Cheetahs, there are 5 females and three males. The prime minister launched Cheetahs at two launch factors in Kuno Nationwide Park. At the event, he additionally interacted with Cheetah Mitras, Cheetah Rehabilitation Administration Group, and college students at the venue.

Cheetahs were declared extinct from India in 1952. The Cheetahs will assist restore open forest and grassland ecosystems in India. This effort, in keeping with the Prime Minister’s dedication to environmental safety and wildlife conservation, may even result in enhanced livelihood alternatives for the local people by means of eco-development and eco-tourism actions.
