In a horrific crime, an Indian-origin man from Sydney Rahul Kumar was attacked by an armed group in a suspected hate crime.  It is suspected that the Western Sydney hate group that sparked fear across the city last year, intimidating people who are not the pro- Modi Indian government.  The Indian Western Sydney gang is armed and dangerous and investigations are going on as to who are the attackers.

Rahul Kumar, 30, was ambushed by a group of six people as he walked to his car outside Plus Fitness Westmead on Saturday afternoon.

Rahul said, “I was making my way to the car, and some random people – there were six or seven people – they just attacked me with the things they had,” he told 7NEWS.  He said,

“They bashed me badly.  “My head was bleeding, my shirt was totally red in blood.”

The trainee nurse was attacked by a group of people armed with bats and metal poles in a suspected hate crime.

The offenders also filmed the attack and boasted about it on social media, as seen in the video above.  In the footage, the group is seen running at their target from all angles.

The attack left the 30-year-old requiring stitches in his head, a broken arm, and bruising and totally left Rahul in a state of fear and terror, unable to leave his home.

It has reignited fears of the possible return of a Western Sydney hate group that sparked fear across the city last year, intimidating people who are not the pro-Indian government.

“I’ve seen it all too often in this area,” Turbans 4 Australia spokesman Amar Singh said.  “It feels like a similar gang.  “I think this gang needs to be controlled.”

Kumar said his attackers were dressed in balaclavas and hoodies, making it impossible for him to identify them.

Police say the motive of the attack remains under investigation.
