Uddhav Thackeray ‘I am ready to resign even as Shiv Sena Chief if my MLAs think I am not capable” he says to his rebels.
CM Uddhav Thackeray expressed an emotional address on Facebook and says if one of the MLAs tells me upfront to quit, I will quit.
While rebel Eknath Shinde claims he has more than 46 MLA, Uddhav Thackeray spoke on Facebook and tells his rebels, “My resignation is ready, come and take it.” He added, If you say so I will immediately quit, this is not a drama. I will do this immediately.”
He also assured his party that the Sena would never leave Hindutva. He told the Shiv Sena rebel MLAs that he is not clinging to power. That he will step down as chief minister and even as party head if any of them tell him he is not fit for the job face to face. He said his resignation is ready, and that they can take it to the governor if they return to Mumbai. He also asked the rebels whether the next CM would be from the Shiv Sena
He said, “But first come and talk to me and what do you need, Let me know if I am not needed I will quit immediately, Come and tell me face to face.
Upset, he said, “Why can’t they come here and tell me I should resign: Today my own people are saying that they don’t want me as the CM. They are saying it from there, why can’t they come here and tell me this. If any single MLA tells me this then I would resign immediately. I will immediately shift my residence from Varsha to Matoshree. I am Babasaheb’s son and I am not attached to power and stick to it come what may.”
He went on to say, “Today I am shocked because it was not Congress and NCP that have told me that they don’t want me as the CM, even today Kamal Nath from Congress and Sharad Pawar has said that they trust me. I have completed all the responsibilities given to me. Even when I did not have any experience.”
He also said, “What kind of democracy is this, that our MLAs have to be housed during MLC elections. He added, “We fought alone in 2014 too. Some people are trying to portray that we are not Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena. In 2014 also we had fought alone and then we joined the BJP govt and those ministers then were also Balasaheb’s Shiv Sena
Shiv Sena is never going to leave Hindutva. That is the mantra Balasaheb gave us: Thackeray
Uddhav Thackeray also spoke about his government’s achievements and said, “During the COVID, I had no experience of handling an administration. Our administration was praised for how it handled the pandemic because of your cooperation. Within two to three months of me taking over, COVID happened. I am saying all this because I am one of the top five chief Ministers
In the meantime, the Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP) condemns the BJP for making flood-ravaged Assam an epicenter of dissident politics in Maharashtra.
Eknath Shinde is not ready for an NCP and Congress alliance says sources.
Uddhav Thackeray’s speech is highly applauded and hailed as a masterstroke, and without blaming or running away, or backing out, he put the ball in the BJP’s court, revealing courage and dignity, decency in politics and did not tie down his rebels. His government has been proven to be cleaner than other governments.
