There were clashes at Margao Town at Jamia Masjid after Friday prayers when an unidentified mob barged into the mosque.
Frightening moments were witnessed at Jamia Masjid at Malbhat in Margao on Friday afternoon after fights between two groups after the Friday prayers.
In a complaint filed with the Margao town police, Aslam Shaikh and Mainur Shaikh stated they were attacked by a group of unidentified individuals who barged inside the mosque after the Jumma namaz had just concluded and attacked the duo with iron rods. Acting on the complaint, Margao police detained three persons. Investigations are on.
BJP Spokesperson Trying to Polarize
BJP’s Sidharth Kuncalienker, Convenor IT Cell released a video on social media implying that there was an assault on Goans by Muslims. However the suggestion is dubious, and there are no swords seen here as BJP’s Sidharth claims. In fact, one can see other Muslims trying to stop the fight, so it is evident that simple brawls and gang fights are turned into “terroristic” colors by the BJP to bring a divided society into Goa.
This is going to be the way things go for the saffron party to remain significant in India, but it is causing untold stress and anxiety amongst citizens with constant communalization.
