Hindutva Seer Bajrang Muni on Sunday threatened to rape Muslim women, speaking on loudspeakers in a rally during the Hindu New Year.
Viral videos of the malicious Mahant’s speeches surfaced online and were heavily shared by Twitter users, demanding Bajrang Muni be arrested, yet five days after the incident, he is still not arrested in spite of police being present at his inciting event.
During the event on Sunday, the Hindutva seer arrived on the scene with a loudspeaker and yelled out that he would rape Muslim women declaring, “I am explaining this to you with a lot of love. If you tease (pursue) a Hindu girl, then I will “If any Muslim guy pursues Hindu ladies, I will abduct and brazenly rape Muslim women in public,” speaking in the presence of police personnel and his inciting speech was met with cheers and claps from the crowd consisting of men and women.
Mohammed Zubair, from Alt News, first shared the viral videos enraging Bajrang Muni further against Zubair demanding that an FIR be filed against Zubair for sharing his video.

National Commission for Women Rekha Sharma Writes to UP Police Demanding His Arrest
The National Commission for Women has written to the Director-General of Police of Uttar Pradesh about an alleged incident in which the chief priest of a temple gave “rape threats” to women of a particular community while making a speech in UP’s Sitapur district. The NCW Chairperson Rekha Sharma on Friday wrote to the UP DGP, condemning the statement made by the accused, and has demanded the registration of an FIR against him.
She said “People talking like this in public about raping women of a certain community is not acceptable. We have written today itself to UP DGP and I’m going to take up this matter personally with him whether they are religious godmen or anybody, they should be taken to task,” NCW chairperson Rekha Sharma said. A copy of the NCW president’s letter has also been sent to the Superintendent of Police, Sitapur.
The seer also made more objectionable comments on women and Muslims amidst people shouting slogans of “Jai Shree Ram“.

Prashant Kumar, ADG, Law & Order in Uttar Pradesh said that an FIR has been filed on the Mahant’s hate speech in UP’s Sitapur, and stringent action will be taken against the accused. Sitapur’s Additional Superintendent of Police Rajiv Dixit said a case has been registered against Mahant Bajrang Muni Das over his hate speech.
In the picture below, it is evident that BJP Sitapur Sadar MLA and Minister in UP government Rakesh Rathore share a close relationship with Bajrang Muni from this picture where he is putting his arm around him, suggesting that the Mahant’s close ties with BJP MLAs have saved him from getting arrested as of yet.

Cries for his arrest are trending heavily on Twitter, and it has been five days, and he is still roaming free. Section 153A IPC penalizes ‘promotion of enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race, place of birth, residence, language, etc., and doing acts prejudicial to maintenance of harmony and people insist that Bajrang Muni needs to be arrested under the law as it is also a bad misrepresentation of their religion.
