Punjab’s chief election officer orders an FIR against Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Akali Dal’s complaint.
The FiR against Arvind Kejriwal came after the AAP filed a complaint with the EC seeking penal action against SAD Chief Sukhbir Singh Badal for violating the election guidelines during the silence period.
Meanwhile, a case has also been filed against Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi and Congress candidate Sidhu Moose Wala for holding a door-to-door campaign in Mansa constituency allegedly after the end of campaigning on Friday evening.
The case was registered under Section 188 (disobedience to order duly promulgated by a public servant) of the Indian Penal Code at City-1 Mansa police station, on the basis of AAP’s complaint.

CM Channi reached Mansa on Friday evening for the door-to-door campaigning of Moose Wala.
Punjab will go for polling on February 20 and the atmosphere in Punjab is charged with anxious anticipation awaiting the outcome of the elections.
