Sanatan Dharma is the Earliest Religion
It is widely accepted that Sanatan (Hindu) religion is the oldest religion among all the religions in the world at this time and no one can deny that Sanatan Dharma was the first religion to advocate the salvation of the world. Words like truth-false, humanity-demon, sin-virtue, and compassion-cruelty were originally expounded in these teachings. Sanatan Dharma was the first religion that taught the world that those who do good deeds will go to heaven and those who do bad deeds will go to hell. This religion introduced names like Apsara and Yamdoot.
Similarities Between Sanatan Dharma and Islam
Is it just a coincidence that after thousands of years, similar teachings were inculcated from the land of Arabia, thousands of miles away from India? The concept of reward, compassion, cruelty was given, as well as mercy and oppression. Heaven is also called Jannat and Hell is called Jahannum by Muslims.
Just as Hindus name girls living in heaven Apsaras, similarly Muslims call girls living in heaven Hur. In Hinduism, eunuchs come to take someone’s life, while among Muslims, Malak-ul-Mutt comes to take the soul out of the body.
When Muslims go on Hajj, they go around the holy Kaaba seven times and also perform seven rounds of two hills named Safa and Marwa. Similarly, the followers of Hinduism do circumambulation seven times in some temples. In an article published in the daily Punjab Kesari, it is written that “It is known to all that according to the ancient traditions of Hindu religion it is very necessary to circumambulate God after worshiping Him in the temple. Some perform this circumambulation to the count of three and some to the count of seven. Similarly, after choosing one’s life partner, marriage cannot be completed without taking seven rounds with their partner.
Has anyone ever told you that gambling and drinking are prohibited in the Rigveda (Rigveda 7*.86.*6 – The act done by listening to the voice of the conscience does not lead to ‘sin’ But ignoring this voice only brings sorrow and despair, which destroy us like drunkenness and gambling.) Islam forbids but other two Semitic religions (Judaism and Christianity) do not. Interestingly, there is no prohibition to drinking alcohol in other religions. In the scriptures of Judaism, alcohol has been extolled. One vital similarity is that all the festivals of Hindus and Muslims are celebrated according to the moon (lunar) calendar.
The remarkable thing is that Islam never said that no other person came to this Earth as a representative of God except Hazrat Muhammad, but it is mandatory for every Muslim to believe that Allah (God) has created a world in this world. One lakh twenty four thousand prophets (messengers, messengers or representatives) descended. That is why many Muslim Ulema also say that perhaps Ram Chandra ji, Krishna ji and Gautam Buddha were also prophets (divine messengers), so they should be revered.
A salient point to bring forth here is that many scholars have written that the Vedas and other religious texts have predicted the arrival of Hazrat Mohammad on the website of Dainik Jagran, “Prophet Mohammad in Vedas, Puranas, and Upanishads”. An article published with the title ‘As per the Vedas, the name of the Utrarohi would be ‘Narashan’. The Arabic translation of ‘Narashan’ is ‘Muhammad’. Narasana: Yo Narai: Prashyate. (Sayana commentary, Rigveda Samhita, 5/5/2). The original mantra is as follows – “Narashan: Susudatim Yajnamadabhayah (नराशंस: सुषूदतीमं यज्ञामदाभ्यः ।).
It is also said in the Kavirhi Rigveda ‘Ahamiddhi Pitushpari Medhamritsya Jagrabh. Aham Surya Evajani.. It is also written in the Samaveda: ‘Ahamidhi pituh parimedhamritsya jagrabh. Aham Surya Ivajani. Samveda pr. 2 d. 6 m. i.e., Ahmad (Mohammed) received a wise way of life from his Lord. I am shining like the sun.’ Whereas in this, the other name of Mohammed is “Ahmad”. One of the eighteen Puranas of Maharishi Vyasa is ‘Bhavishya Purana’. One of his verses is this: “An Acharya will come to another country with his friends. His name will be Mahamad. He belongs to desert. Will come in this area. (Bhavishya PuranaA. 323 Su. 5 to 8) “In other religious texts of Hindus also, Prophet Hazrat Mohammad’s arrival has been predicted, so intricately explained that it is not possible to write all here.
In the next section, I will tell you the name by which the Hindus (Sanatan Dharmis) are mentioned in the Holy Qur’an.
