Giving huge relief to the people, Jammu and Kashmir government has decided to reduce the prices of petrol and diesel by Rs 7.
In addition to the excise duty cut announced by the Prime Minister on the occasion of Diwali on Thursday.
Taking to Twitter, the Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha said the J&K administration has decided to further reduce Rs 7 on Petrol and Diesel. ” Hon’ble PM @narendramodi Ji has given a great Deepawali gift by announcing a reduction in excise duty on Petrol & Diesel and announced a reduction in Value Added Tax (VAT) on petrol and diesel by Rs 7.
In addition, J&K admin has decided to reduce additional Rs.7 on Petrol & Diesel, thereby reducing Petrol price by Rs.12/litre & Diesel by Rs.17/litre in the UT from today,” said Lt Governor Manoj Sinha.
Over the last couple of years, prices had been skyrocketing over commodities such as dal, fuel, cooking gas etc., and losing recent elections may have sent a message to the BJP that people were really unhappy, and the hasty reduction in fuel prices is surmised to be due to loss of recent state elections, and Mr. Srivatsa of Congress said below:
Petrol @ ₹120
Diesel @ ₹100
Tur Dal @ ₹130
Cement @ ₹550
Cooking Oil @ ₹200
Gas Cylinder @ ₹900
GDP⬇️ Income⬇️ Jobs⬇️No wonder BJP is losing elections. Even the few they are winning is through defectors & money.
Massive anti-incumbency building against Modi sarkar!
