A family of eight were all killed in a road accident in Haryana’s Jhajjar Jhajjar on Friday, October 22nd, and another person was injured.
While the family of eight was killed, including a child and three women when a speeding vehicle rammed into their car that was parked on the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway in the Jhajjar district of Haryana on Friday morning.
Police said the accident occurred near Badli when a car on the expressway was hit by another vehicle from behind, following which it rammed into the truck going ahead.
The car occupants were severely injured in the incident and were immediately rushed to the Bahadurgarh Civil Hospital where they were declared dead and sent for post-mortem. Another injured person is being treated at the hospital. The identity of the deceased persons is being determined.
The driver of the vehicle along with a child and a woman escaped as they were not in the car.
The deceased are yet to be identified, as per police. The accused truck driver fled from the spot after the accident.
The police have started an investigation into the accident and are efforts are on to arrest the absconding driver.
