Air Force’s Mirage-2000 crashes in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday morning on an empty field in Mankabad, pilot escapes safely.
A Mirage 2000 fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed this morning near Madhya Pradesh’s Bhind district, officials said. The pilot ejected safely, the Indian Air Force or IAF tweeted.
Visuals show the debris strewn over an empty field in Mankabad, some 6 km from Bhind. A team of policemen has formed a cordon around the crash site, where the smouldering tail section of the trainer jet is seen half buried in the field.
An IAF Mirage 2000 aircraft experienced a technical malfunction during a training sortie in the central sector this morning. The pilot ejected safely. An Inquiry has been ordered to ascertain the cause of the accident.

After the crash, a team of policemen has set up a barrier around the crash site, where the thickly smoking tail section of the fighter jet is seen half submerged into an empty field.
