All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen chief Asaduddin Owaisi meets in Kanpur on Monday ahead of UP elections.
In his inspiring speech blessed with his oratory skills in Kanpur, he said that “we will play Jamhooriyat ka Baaja” Stirring up the crowds, he also said that the condition of Muslims is like band players, who are stopped outside at weddings. During his speech, he termed the famous Charminar of Hyderabad as the building of his father saying, “When we said that Charminar is our Abba’s building, come in front of Abba.’.
Owaisi said in his address- ‘Lakhs of salutes to the people of Hyderabad for the Lok Sabha elections. We defeated BJP again. Narendra Modi himself came and campaigned against me. Your Chief Minister Baba (Yogi Adityanath) had also come to campaign for the elections. Then came Rahul Gandhi too. Jalsa was performed at the daman of Charminar.
In a public speech held at Aqeel compound of Jajmau, he kindled the crowds with a visionary speech to encourage the Muslims by saying, ‘Not a single Muslim leader for 19 percent of the population and also said that Muslims have become like that band party of the procession, who are first asked to play the baja, but reach the groom’s doors are stopped outside. Now the Muslim band will not play, we will play the jamhooriyat ka baaja. Even every caste has a leader, but Muslims have no leader. The Muslim population in UP is 19 percent, but they do not have a single leader. He said, “I wish that before I die there should be hundred Muslim leaders in UP.”
He also stressed that Muslims are not respected for not being leaders. He said that the Muslims of Uttar Pradesh will have to decide whether in 2022 if they will become just voters or become leaders. A society that has great leaders is respected but Muslims have no leader. Muslims will have to vote unitedly. Owaisi said that if Muslims do not wake up, there will be a loss. He taunted the Opposition saying, “The police sent Maulana Kalim Siddiko to jail, but Congress, Bahujan Samaj Party, and the socialists did not say anything and they are afraid of losing their votes.
