UP: AIMIM activist Nisar Ahmad brutally killed with slitting neck

IndiaUP: AIMIM activist Nisar Ahmad brutally killed with slitting neck

AIMIM (All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen) Nisar Ahmad was brutally murdered on July 20 in Badlapur Khurd, Jaunpur, UP.

Nisar Ahmad, a 19-year-old AIMIM activist was savagely killed on 20 July on the day of Eid day in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh.

AIMIM activists report that Nisar Ahmad (19) was brutally murdered by cutting his neck with a sharp knife by Deepak Yadav, Lovekush Yadav, Vipin Yadav, Vinay Yadav, Rohan Shukla in Jaunpur Uttar Pradesh.  Sources report that his body was found around 600 meters away from his home.

It is noted that in Uttar Pradesh, there are constant attacks on Maqdam workers and in this heinous crime, Nisar Ahmed’s throat had been split with a knife. However, people are complaining that the police administration is not taking any action against the killers.

Many scholars believe that incidents of anti-Muslim violence are politically motivated and a part of the electoral strategy of mainstream political parties who are associated with Hindu nationalism like the Bharatiya Janata Party (the political wing of RSS). Other scholars believe that the violence is not widespread but that it is restricted to certain urban areas because of local socio-political conditions.

It is said that the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Yogi Adityanath is a firebrand monk whose entire politics revolves around fuelling hostility towards Muslims. A five-time member of Parliament, he has constantly made controversial statements against Muslims and the cow vigilante attacks against Muslims originated in UP.

He said once, “Muslims who chose to stay in India when it was partitioned following independence from Britain did the country “no favours”, he continued, “They should have opposed partition, which led to the formation of Pakistan,” on speaking to BBC Hindi’s Nitin Srivastava in an exclusive interview.

His government has recently been accused of using excessive force against protesters, especially Muslims, opposing a contentious new citizenship law. But Mr. Adityanath has denied these widespread allegations, even though they have been backed by compelling evidence.

Netizens on social media are calling for justice for Nisar Ahmad.
