Childrens’ Hospital in Delhi running out of oxygen and had tweeted that they have oxygen till 12 noon. While many desperate messages sent to the Center and the Delhi government for oxygen, the New Zealand high commissioner finally tweeted to Youth Congress leader Srinivas for oxygen as the Youth Congress under Youth Leader Srinivas has set up mobile units to supply oxygen. The SOS tweet was deleted as it came under criticism that he was appealing for help from an opposition party.
Earlier the Embassy of the Philippines in Delhi reached out to Congress Youth Leader Srinivas for oxygen. It appears the Center and Delhi governments were unable to help and unresponsive and high commissions, embassies are forced to reach out to the Congress party and other people for oxygen. The Congress party in particular has set up many camps to supply medicines, oxygen, plasma, etc., as earlier Rahul Gandhi urged all Congress leaders to reach out and help as this is their Dharma.
Mr. Srinivas and his teams have helped the farmers, and during the COVID crisis, have been helping around the clock. However, when the Philippines and New Zealand embassies reached out to him, the incident became amplified.

Hospitals say that the nodal officers never pick up their phones and do not respond to the desperate pleas for oxygen.
The Delhi government says that they have only received one-third of what they have asked for and that every hospital runs out of oxygen every three hours and instead of being able to concentrate on saving lives, hospitals are begging governments for oxygen, wasting precious time and in the bargain, lives are lost.
Raghav Chadha leader of the Aam Aadmi Party said that they are tracking the movement of trucks, staying up all day and all night and none of them are sleeping and it is a frightening situation to live on the edge while patients are gasping for air and battling for their lives.
In the meantime, Rainbow Children’s Hospital is anxiously waiting for oxygen while the Central Government seems to have turned a deaf ear, passive and immobile and Mahua Moitra
of the TMC tweeted, “This Government enforced revocation of Art 370 overnight, is ensuring Central Vista project finished on time, & it cannot supply 900MT oxygen daily to our capital’s hospitals for past 10 days?”
