HealthCOVID Warrior in Bengaluru cries to govt on video "COVID has wrecked city, help!"

COVID warrior Armina Madhisar from Bengalu city, who helps as a volunteer in a team called Emergency Response Team and also handles the covidhelplinebangalore.com website fighting back tears shared a video that went viral about the frightening situation in Bengaluru pleading for help and begging citizens to stay at home.

Trying to hold back tears he said, “COVID has wrecked havoc in the entire city, there is absolutely chaos at hospitals.”  He shared how the patients in ICUs are asked by hospital authorities to go home because there is no oxygen supply for them, certainly not in the smaller hospitals.

People are desperately trying to be admitted to hospitals and are frantically calling up 50, 60, 70 hospitals just to get an ICU bed which is not available.  There are serpentine endless queues outside hospitals and the chaotic situation is unimaginable.

Broken-hearted and choking on words he said, “In the last 2 to 3 days, our team is receiving calls from families crying and begging us, “Please get us one bed, my mother is dying, my son is dying, get us one injection of remdesivir,” but we are not able to arrange it,” he choked on these words.

He said, “You know, this is not what we wanted Bangalore to be, so my humble request is every Bangalorean please please be at home, don’t go outside unnecessarily..don’t go outside, no place is safe…things have really gone out of control.”

He appealed to the government to “please take a step forward and help, and begged the government to arrange for oxygen, remdesivir, and hospital beds.”

It is frightening that India yesterday alone has recorded +294,290 new cases and over+2,020 deaths.

No one should play with COVID-19 because it is sneaky, lethal, and far more fatal than anyone realizes. The mass burials and cremations happening all over the nation indicate COVID is sweeping over the country drastically.

The dead are buried in the same manner during wartimes. We must remember we are in a war, a war against COVID-19. This is also an appeal to some politicians to stop election campaigns during such a grave catastrophe the nation is facing, this is an appeal to stand together and fight COVID, not campaign!
