Police after the search arrested two persons with, 8.5 grams of Heroin and 158 fake currency notes amounting to Rs 47,800 were recovered from their possession in the Bahu Fort area.
Jammu: Police on Thursday arrested two persons with heroin and fake currency in the Bahu Fort area here.
Police said that team led by Station House Officer (SHO) Deepak Pathania assisted by In-charge Police Post Bhatindi Shabir Kohli while on Naka duty at Peerbagh, Sunjwan rounded up two suspects namely Mohammad Aslam alias Sonu of Dangiali, Majeen, Sidhra, Jammu, and Rashid Ali alias Zakir of Peer Bagh Colony, Sunjwan Jammu traveling by car.
On search, 8.5 grams of Heroin and 158 fake currency notes amounting to Rs 47,800 were recovered from their possession.
A case was registered and an investigation started.
During sustained questioning, the accused confessed to the crime, and on their disclosure items recovered from their illegal possession were a Laptop, Printer, four bottles of Magnetic Ink, one bundle of Printing paper, and a digital weighing machine.
Pertinent to mention that both the accused are notorious criminals and were involved in many cases.
