Thiruvananthapuram: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra offered prayers at Aattukal Devi temple, known as Sabarimala of women.
Priyanka Gandhi was accompanied by many Congress leaders including the party’s Nemom candidate K Muraleedharan and Vattiyootkavu candidate Veena S Nair.
She visited the temple after completing a corner meeting in the Kattakkada Assembly constituency this night. Earlier, she also attended a roadshow in Thiruvananthapuram, party sources said.
Every year, several lakhs of women used to flock to a 10-km radius of the Attukal temple in the city to offer ‘Pongala’ to appease the presiding deity of the temple.
