There have been no instant reports of damage or casualties. It would take a few hours to assess any significant damage, especially in remote areas.
It is anticipated that light aftershocks can occur over the coming days. Officials may temporarily shut down transportation infrastructure in the tremor zone to check for damage.
It is advisable to plan accordingly for aftershocks and vacate multistory buildings. Avoid air and road travel, to prevent encountering aftershocks. Always check up updated information on road conditions before driving in hilly areas in the affected region due to the threat of landslides.
