Shubhendu Adhikari ended his 21-year relationship with the Trinamool Congress joined the BJP in the presence of Amit Shah with 9 Members of Assembly.
Kolkata: Former Minister of State Shubhendu Adhikari today ended his 21-year relationship with the Trinamool Congress and joined the BJP at a public meeting in Madnipur in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
For the first time after distancing herself from the Trinamool Congress, he reprimanded Mamata Banerjee, saying that this time she would not be number one. Shubhandu Adhikari said, “My mother is Gayatri Devi. I can never be a traitor to my mother.”
Shubhendu Adhikari said that Amit Shah is the Home Minister of the country. He is my elder brother and I am his younger brother. He has fulfilled the promises what he had made.
Shubhandu Adhikari said, “I have left the Trinamool Congress for the development of West Bengal. I am a owe to the land of Bengal and I am trying to repay it.
He said that the development of the state has been at a standstill in the last ten years. “I have not joined the BJP in the greed for the post. I will continue to work as an activist in the BJP and will go to each booth. I am ready to write the party’s posters and paint walls.
On Amit Shah being called an outsider, he said that first we are Indians and then we are Bengalis. He said that there was no difference between Kolkata and Delhi. He strongly criticized Abhishek Banerjee and said that his nephew will destroy Mamta Banerjee.
