Delhi borders with Haryana, including Singhu and Tikri, will continue to remain closed for traffic movement due to the ongoing farmer protests.
New Delhi: Delhi Traffic Police has advised the riders and commuters today morning to avoid Delhi borders with Haryana, including Singhu and Tikri, and take alternative routes to avoid inconvenience due to ongoing farmers protests. Police said these points would continue to remain closed for traffic movement amid the farmers’ protests.
The Traffic Police said, ‘Borders open towards Haryana for vehicles movement include Jharoda, Dhansa, Daurala, Kapashera, Rajokri NH 8,Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam vihar, and Dundahera.’
The police has also informed regarding the border points with Haryana that will be open for traffic movement, wherein two of them are only for the movement of two-wheelers, that are Badusarai and Jhatikara.
Traffic police took on Twitter and said, ‘Singhu Border is still closed from both sides. Please take an alternate route. Traffic has been diverted from Mukarba Chowk & GTK road. Traffic is very very heavy. Please avoid outer ring road from the signature bridge to Rohini &Vice versa, GTK road, NH 44 & Singhu border.’

In another tweet, police said, ‘Tikri border is closed for any Traffic Movement. Available Open Borders to Haryana are following Borders Jharoda, Dhansa, Daurala Jhatikera, Badusari, Kapashera, Rajokri NH 8, Bijwasan/Bajghera, Palam Vihar and Dundahera borders.’

The movement of traffic especially around Singhu and Tikri borders has been affected due to the gathering of farmers who headed to Delhi for the ‘Chalo Dilli’ call by the farmer organizations.
A large number of farmers from Punjab sat at the Singhu border protesting against the agriculture reform laws, demanding to repeal the three laws and other demands.
