The rise in Covid cases in India has come to a halt and active cases have also come down. For five days, 45 thousand cases of Coronavirus infection were reported, but today new cases have come down and the tally is less than 38 thousand.

New Delhi: The spike in the Covid-19 cases in India has come to a halt today. For the last five days, 45 thousand cases of Coronavirus infection were reported, but on Tuesday new cases declined and the number was less than 38 thousand. Active cases have come down due to the increase in the number of people who recovered from the disease and its rate has come down to about five percent.

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, 37,975 new cases have come up in the last 24 hours and the figure for infected people has reached 91.77 lakh. During this period, 42,314 patients got recovered, resulting in a decrease of 4819 active cases and its number has increased to 4.38 lakh. In the same period, the death toll has risen to 1,34,218 with the fresh deaths of 480 patients.

The rate of active cases in the country has come down to 4.78 and the recovery rate is 93.76 percent while the death rate is still 1.46 percent. In the last 24 hours, the number of cured people in Delhi was 7216, due to which the active cases also decreased by 2883, although 121 people lost their lives due to Coronavirus infection on the second day. The number of active cases in the national capital has come down to 37,329. Here, 8512 infected people have lost their lives while more than 4.88 lakh patients have been infected so far.

Active cases in Maharashtra

The most active cases in Maharashtra affected by Covid-19 have increased from 394 to 82,915 now. In the state, the death toll has risen to 46,653 due to the death of 30 patients during this period, while so far more than 16.54 lakh people got cured of the infection.

Active cases in Karnataka and southern region

In the southern state of Karnataka, the number of active Covid-19 patients has decreased by 160 to 24,727 during the last 24 hours. The death toll in the state has reached 11,678 and so far, about 8.38 lakh people have recovered. In Andhra Pradesh, there was a decrease of 855 active patients during this period to 13,394. So far, 6948 people have died due to Covid-19 in the state and over 8.42 lakh people have become infection-free.

In Kerala, the number of treated patients has gone up to more than five lakh and active cases have reduced to 64,292 while 2071 people have died.

Active cases in Uttar Pradesh

In the country’s largest state, Uttar Pradesh, the number of active cases has reduced to 23,776 and 7582 people have died due to this epidemic. So far, more than 4.97 lakh patients have been healthy in the state. In Tamil Nadu, there has been a decrease of 297 in active cases and this number has come down to 12,245 and 11,622 people have died. So far, more than 7.47 lakh people have been cured in the state.

Active cases in Odisha

In Odisha, the number of active cases has reduced to 6246 and 1657 people have died while the number of Coronavirus-free patients has crossed three lakh. The active cases of Covid-19 in Telangana have come down to 11,047 and 1437 people have died while more than 2.52 lakh people have recovered from the epidemic.

The number of active Covid cases in West Bengal has come down to 25,030 after the number of 177 and 8072 people have died. So far, more than 4.26 lakh people have become healthy in the state. The number of active cases in Punjab is 6687 and the number of people who get infected has crossed 1.35 lakh whereas 4631 people have died so far.

Active cases in Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh, the number of active cases has increased by 571 to 12,336 and so far more than 1.79 lakh people have become healthy while 3172 people have died due to this disease.

Cases and deaths active in other regions

So far from the Covid-19 epidemic, 2746 in Chhattisgarh, 2181 in Rajasthan, 2216 in Haryana, 1641 in Jammu and Kashmir, 1162 in Uttarakhand, 975 in Assam, 975 in Jharkhand, 953 in Goa, 677 in Goa, 609 in Puducherry, 370 in Tripura, Himachal Pradesh 560, 263 in Chandigarh, 238 in Manipur, 110 in Meghalaya, 101 in Ladakh, 100 in Sikkim, 61 in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, 61 in Nagaland, 49 in Arunachal Pradesh and two in Dadar-Nagar Haveli and Daman-Diu have died.

There are 13,836 active cases in Gujarat and 3876 people have died and 1.81 lakh people have also recovered from this disease. There are 4794 active cases in Bihar. In the state, 1227 people have died due to Coronavirus while more than 2.24 lakh people have become infection-free.
