According to Indian Oil, a leading oil marketing company, diesel prices have been increased by 17-19 paise and petrol by 7 paise per liter in major cities of the country today.

New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices were recorded high on Monday for the fourth consecutive day in India due to strong oil prices in the international market amid good news of vaccine for coronavirus.

Brent crude has reached $ 45 per barrel. The prices of both fuels have risen for the first time after being steadily stable for 48 days on Friday.

According to Indian Oil, a leading public sector oil marketing company, the price of diesel has been increased by 17 to 19 paise and petrol by seven paise per liter in four major metros of the country.

Diesel is costlier by 18 paise and petrol by 07 paise per liter in Delhi. According to Indian Oil, a leading oil marketing company, petrol in Delhi today was Rs 81.53 while diesel was Rs 71.25 per liter.

In the commercial city of Mumbai, petrol reached Rs 88.23 per liter and diesel reached Rs 77.73 per liter. Petrol in Kolkata rose to Rs 83.10 per liter and diesel to Rs 74.82 per liter. Petrol in Chennai was priced at Rs 84.53 per liter and diesel at Rs 76.72 per liter.
