Tejashwi sit-in protest at Gandhi Maidan even after not getting permission from administration

Even after the administration did not allow protest demonstrations, Tejashwi Yadav challenged, “Mr. Nitish, I am reaching Gandhi Maidan. If you can stop, just do it.”

Patna: Opposition leader of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav protested with other opposition leaders in front of Gandhiji’s statue in support of farmers agitating against new agricultural laws.

Earlier, when the administration did not allow the protest, Tejashwi Yadav challenged and tweeted on Saturday saying, ‘Godse worshipers have come to Patna to welcome him. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar imprisoned the statue of Father of the Nation at Gandhi Maidan in Patna, so that Gandhi’s followers would make a commitment to Gandhi in support of farmers. Mr. Nitish, I am reaching there. If you can stop, just do it.’

Later, Tejashwi reached Gandhi Maidan along with Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders and workers. Gandhi sat on a dharna outside gate number four on the grounds and started shouting slogans. Eventually, the administration opened the small gate of Gandhi Maidan. After this, Tejashwi Yadav, along with other leaders and activists, then reached the Gandhi statue and read his election manifesto to fight the farmers’ war.

Tejashwi terms new farm laws as anti-farmer and black law

Tejashwi Yadav, calling the new farm laws as anti-farmer and black law and has demanded the Modi government to withdraw them immediately. He said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also plays an important role in the anti-farmer and anti-labor decisions of the Center.

The Leader of the Opposition said that the talks being held today by the Modi government should have taken place before the law was passed. He appealed to all farmers and organizations in the state to take to the streets against the new agriculture laws and accused the Modi government of conspiring to hand over the agriculture sector to private companies.

Prominent personalities among those who attended the dharna were RJD state president Jagdanand Singh, Congress state president Madan Mohan Jha, former ministers Alok Mehta, Shyam Rajak, and Bahubali MLA Chhota Lal Yadav of Danapur.
