PM Modi wants India without discrimination to stand firmly on foundation of equality.

PM Modi said his govt. is making a ‘system’ to ensure no place for discrimination to stand firmly on the foundation of equality.

The prime minister’s assertion on Thursday came on the back of allegations made by several political leaders who left the BJP in Uttar Pradesh claiming none in the government paid heed to the backward classes and Dalits in the state in the past five years.

PM Modi said,  “We are creating a system in which there is no place for discrimination, a society which stands firmly on the foundation of equality and social justice. We are witnessing the emergence of an India whose thinking and approach are ‘innovative’, while decisions are progressive.” He said this after remotely kick-starting several campaigns of ‘Brahma Kumaris’ dedicated to ‘Azadi Ke Amrit Mahotsav’.

Voicing his gratitude to the spiritual movement founded by Lekhraj Kripalani in the 1930s for continuing their support in the progress of the country, the PM said, “This program is an inspiration for the country.” “In the 75 years of Independence, we have to admit that an evil has engulfed everyone. This evil is deviating you from your duties. I appeal Brahma Kumaris and similar other organisations to instill the feeling of duties among the citizens of the country,” he said.

Talking about ‘Amrit Kaal’, the PM said, “This is not the time for dreaming while sleeping, but for fulfilling resolutions by waking up. We have to get back what our society has lost in hundreds of years of slavery.” The PM also highlighted ‘natural farming’ and ‘clean energy’. “To make farmers aatmanirbhar (self-reliant), we are working on promoting organic farming. Brahma Kumaris can play an important role in this direction,” Modi said.

Mentioning the citizens have been witnessing how various efforts are being made to tarnish the image of India at the international level, Modi said, “We cannot get away saying it is just politics. This is not politics, it is the question of our country. We are celebrating the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ and it is our responsibility that the world should know India properly.’ Organizations such as ‘Brahma Kumaris’ which is spread worldwide should convey the right things about India and make people aware, he said. Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Chief Ministers of Rajasthan and Gujarat, Ashok Gehlot and Bhupendra Patel, Union Ministers and other dignitaries also attended the program.

What May Have Made PM Modi to Say This Now?

Is divisive politics proving to be a disaster for Bjp, as the BJP appears to be losing grip of even the states they are ruling?  Events that happened in Hardiwar are revealing the poisoned minds of some of the people.  Could this be a dangerous shift causing him to pitch for equality?  While he did say sabka saath sabka vikas initially, politics of discrimination led to turbulence all over the nation and perhaps BJP leaders are learning this won’t work the same way it did in the past.

Also, he mentioned India was being misrepresented at the international level, but this is nothing more than the damaging actions against minorities that caught global attention and this must be making things uncomfortable which may have led him to make statements to show he is batting for equality.
