Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to kick off the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra’ in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. This initiative is part of a nationwide campaign aimed at encouraging every Indian to display the national flag at their homes, promoting patriotism and reinforcing national unity.
The ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra’ is a significant element of the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav,’ a celebration launched in 2021 to mark the 75th anniversary of India’s independence. The campaign seeks to educate citizens about the importance of the Indian National Flag and to inspire widespread participation.
In his 112th ‘Mann Ki Baat’ address on July 28, Prime Minister Narendra Modi urged citizens to engage in the campaign by displaying the tricolor and updating their social media profile pictures to the national flag, turning it into a mass movement.
Following the Prime Minister’s call, Home Minister Amit Shah has also emphasized the need for extensive participation in the campaign and encouraged people to share selfies with the national flag to further spread the initiative’s message.
