Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarks on a two-day tour spanning Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar from March 1 to 2, focusing on launching a slew of development projects in these states.

Commencing his journey in Sindri, situated in Jharkhand’s Dhanbad district, PM Modi is set to unveil a series of development initiatives in the fertilizer, rail, power, and coal sectors, collectively valued at Rs 35,700 crore.

A significant project among these is the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant, constructed at a cost of Rs 8900 crore. This plant is poised to augment indigenous urea production by approximately 12.7 LMT per annum, thereby benefiting farmers nationwide. It marks the revival of the third fertilizer plant in India, following similar endeavors in Gorakhpur and Ramagundam.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate numerous railway projects in Jharkhand, exceeding Rs 17,600 crore in value. These projects encompass the expansion of railway lines and the introduction of new routes like the Sone Nagar-Andal line and the Mohanpur-Hansdiha line. Expected to enhance rail services and ignite socio-economic progress, these projects also include the launch of three new trains, including the Deoghar – Dibrugarh service, MEMU Train Service between Tatanagar and Badampahar (Daily), and a long-haul freight train departing from the Shivpur station.

Moreover, PM Modi will inaugurate power projects, including Unit 1 of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project (STPP) in Chatra. With an investment of around Rs 7500 crore, this project is poised to bolster power supply, stimulate employment generation, and foster overall development in the state. Additionally, initiatives in the coal sector will be introduced.
