Discussions centered on expediting visa processing, facilitating smoother movement for students and workers, ensuring safe and legal migration, addressing issues related to the Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT), enhancing safety for women and children, and streamlining travel for citizens of both countries.
Both delegations reiterated their commitment to advancing cooperation in these areas and agreed to hold the next consular dialogue in Rome at a mutually agreeable time.
