During a ceremony in Yavatmal, Maharashtra, today on February 28, Prime Minister Modi released the 16th installment of the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme, amounting to over Rs. 21,000 crores.

The PM-Kisan scheme has already benefited more than 11 crore farmer families, with transfers totaling over Rs. 3 lakh crores directly into their accounts. Additionally, Prime Minister Modi distributed the second and third installments of the ‘Namo Shetkari Mahasamman Nidhi’, totaling around Rs. 3,800 crores, benefiting approximately 88 lakh farmers in Maharashtra.

Initiated by the central government in 2019, the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana provides annual financial assistance of Rs. 6,000 to farmers, directly transferred to their bank accounts through direct benefit transfer.

To check if you’ve received benefits from the scheme, follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website of PM Kisan Yojana (pmkisan.gov.in).
  2. Click on ‘Know Your Status’ on the homepage.
  3. Enter your registration number.
  4. Enter the captcha code displayed on the screen.
  5. Fill in all the required information and click on ‘Get Details’.
  6. Your PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana status will be displayed on the screen.
