With just one day remaining in the University Games, Chandigarh is leading the medal tally, followed by Lovely and Jain University.
In an impressive display, Chandigarh University men secured the gold medal in badminton, defeating top-seeded Jain University with a score of 3-1. This victory was attributed to the exceptional performance of players like Maisnam Meiraba Luwang and Suraj Goala. The team showcased resilience and talent, securing their position at the top of the medals tally.
As of now, Chandigarh University leads the standings with 26 gold, 17 silver, and 16 bronze medals. Lovely Professional University holds the second position with 16 gold, 13 silver, and 3 bronze medals, followed by Jain University in third place with 12 gold, 6 silver, and 6 bronze medals.
In the women’s category, Adamas University emerged victorious in the badminton team event. Led by former national champion Anupama Upadhaya, the team displayed exceptional skills, securing both singles and doubles matches against Shri Jagdishprasad JT University.
Additionally, Adamas University clinched the gold medal in women’s volleyball, defeating Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, in an exhilarating final match.
