The 55th Convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication (IIMC) is set to take place at Pragati Maidan’s Bharat Mandap on January 10, 2024. This esteemed event will be honored by the presence of former President of India, Ram Nath Kovind, who is scheduled to deliver the Convocation address.
The ceremony, slated to commence at 10:00 AM, will witness the participation of prominent figures, including R Jagannathan, the Chairman of IIMC, and Dr. Anupama Bhatnagar, the Director General. Faculty members from IIMC New Delhi and its regional centers in Dhenkanal, Aizawl, Amravati, Kottayam, and Jammu will actively contribute to the event.
Recognizing academic accomplishments, Post Graduate Diploma certificates will be awarded to IIMC students from the 2021-22 and 2022-23 batches. Furthermore, 65 exceptional students from these batches will be honored with various medals.
Established in 1965, IIMC is a premier institution in India, specializing in media and communication education. The institute offers PG Diploma courses in diverse disciplines, including Hindi Journalism, English Journalism, Advertising and Public Relations, Radio and Television, Digital Media, Odia Journalism, Marathi Journalism, Malayalam Journalism, and Urdu Journalism.
